The island of La Palma, the most westerly of the Canaries and with an extension of 728 square kilometers. is known as the "isla bonita" (The Beautiful Island), and the ideal surroundings for nature lovers.
The climate is exceptional throughout the year, not exceeding 25ºC in summer, and not falling bellow 12ºC in the winter.
Its geography is mountainous, on El Roque de los Muchachos (2426 meters) you find the international astrophysic observatory with the "cleanest sky in the world".
Facing Los Llanos de Aridane town, to the east side of the island, you reach the national Park of "La Caldera de Taburiente" with the biggest volcanic crater on earth, a depression 28.000 meters in circumference, 9.000 meters in diameter  and 2000 metres deep.
